Detailed Itinerary
Pickup at NJP early in the morning and transfer to Sillerygaon, a distance covered in about 3.5 to 4 hrs. Hotel Check In. Rest of the day is free to roam around or leisure. Night stay at Sillerygaon.
Sillery Gaon, a small village surrounded on all sides by tall pine trees, at a height of about 6000 ft in the Darjeeling district, is an upcoming tourist destination, lovingly called by the locals as New Darjeeling. After breakfast, visit the Damsang Fort ruins, the Tinchuley view point, the Silent Valley and the Ramitay view point. Ramitay view point offers the longest view of the River Teesta meander with approximately 14 bends. Night stay at Sillerygaon.
After having your breakfast, start driving towards Pedong. Pedong is located on the road that connects Kalimpong - Algarah to Sikkim. It is one of the oldest towns in this region with significant historical importance. Pedong is divided into two parts - lower and Upper Pedong. There are many place to visit, like Rikisum view point, Pedong monastery, Damsung fort, Cross Hill. Night stay at Pedong.
Enjoy yourself the beauty of hilly sun rise at early morning then have breakfast drive to Lava around 12 km 45 mins of journey. Then start towards Rishyap only 11 KMs from Lava, a tiny Lepcha Village and enjoy Tiffindara view point by trek and closely feel the beauty of nature approx 1.5KMs. The blue mountains of Sikkim by its side are also worth watching. Rishyap is covered with Dhupi, Pine and Rhododendron trees. Full day to roam around in the beautiful village. Night stay at Rishyap.
